In 2021, given the significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, growing anti-gender movement, and shrinking financial resources to collectively organise, many trans activists and groups are stretched to capacity. Now more than ever, there is a greater need to address the wellbeing of activists and groups to ensure organising that is empowered, sustainable, and resilient.

From March to June 2021, TGEU has been organising a series of 4 online capacity building trainings: “Building sustainable and resilient activism in times of COVID-19.”

Programme

The trainings were held online monthly from 14:00 to 17:00 CET and joined by a cohort of 20 activists from all over Europe and Central Asia.

  • Thursday 25 March: Organisational Sustainability
  • Thursday 22 April: Health advocacy in times of COVID-19
  • Thursday 27 May: Wellbeing and collective care
  • Thursday 17 June: Movement building
