Module 2: Develop the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan
Background to the project
Every 4 years, TGEU develops and updates its’ Strategic Plan which is voted at the General Assembly by the members. This Strategic Plan is also built on exchanges and input with the members of TGEU and guides TGEU in its overarching work.
TGEU is seeking external support in the process of evaluating how the current Strategic Plan was implemented and developing the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan.
Objectives and activities
Module 1: Evaluate and review the 2014 2020 Strategic Plan
Objectives
1. Review TGEU’s 2014-2020 Strategic Plan
2. Evaluate to what extent the objectives have been achieved
Activities to be carried out
- Develop a timeline with key actions to review the current Strategic Plan and how it has been implemented by TGEU
- Implement those key actions involving different tools such as surveys, interviews, review of projects, etc.
- Write a 10-15 pages report of analysis and recommendations
Module 2: Develop the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan
Objectives
1. Lead the development of TGEU’s 2020-2024 Strategic Plan including TGEU’s members input
2. Offer expertise, support and recommendations in Strategic Planning
Activities to be carried out
- Develop a timeline with key actions to develop the upcoming Strategic Plan
- Lead and conceptualise a live meeting in Berlin, Germany, October 11-13, 2019 to include 50 members of TGEU in the development of this Strategic Plan (Logistics and facilitation capacities provided by TGEU)
- Collect input and draft the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan
Who we are looking for
We are looking for consultants (as individuals or teams) for both modules, who have:
- At least 2 years of experience with Strategic Planning
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to take the lead and responsibility for planning and delivering key actions to complete the process
- An understanding of power dynamics within movements
- English as fluent language and flexible regarding needs around multilingual and multicultural contexts
Specifically added to the Module 1:
- 2 years of experience in Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation (ML&E)
- Experience with research, analysis and critical observations
Specifically added to the Module 2:
- Available to be in Berlin, Germany in October 11-13, 2019
- Ability to request and take input from others, be flexible, receptive, and adaptable to the different needs or evolution of the process
