The „Legal and Social Mapping 2014“ of Transgender Europe’s “Transrespect versus Transphobia Worldwide” project is the most comprehensive and detailed comparative mapping of the human rights situation of trans people worldwide to date. It is designed to serve as an advocacy tool for trans activists around the world.
It covers the legal and for the first time social situation of trans persons in 116 countries across the globe. The following world regions are listed: Africa (9 countries), Asia (18 countries), Central and South America (25 countries), Europe (49 countries), and Oceania (17 countries). The „Legal and Social Mapping 2014“ consists of three volumes of a world mapping and two regional mappings covering Europe and Oceania.
The three volumes of the „Legal and Social Mapping 2014 – World“ provide detailed information on the following subjects:
