Our work with members

We offer tools, resources, and training. Additionally, members can sign up for one-on-one consultations.

Our consultations can focus on:

  • Fundraising and grant writing
  • Organisational development
  • Community organising
  • Advocacy and policy work
  • Other specific needs of our members

Virtual Office Drop-In Hours

We’ve introduced virtual drop-in office hours to stay connected with our members and make it easier for you to reach our community-building team. No appointment is needed, just drop in to ask questions, share updates, give feedback, request support, or have a chat.

Open to current and prospective members, 15-minute slots per person.

Join us on the last Tuesday of every month from:

  • 10:00–12:00 CET in Russian
  • 15:00–17:00 CET in English

How can I get involved in your community?

The best way to be involved is to become a member. Our members enjoy a wide range of benefits, including setting TGEU’s direction and goals, and access to member-only training, consultations, and resources.

As a member, you can:

  • Connect to the movement through our mailing list, including trans-info Europe and TGEU members, and our Newsletter: be the first to learn about relevant developments and opportunities, and stay in touch with trans activists from all over Europe and Central Asia.
  • Attend the European and Central Asian Trans Council: this is the largest  gathering of trans activists in Europe and Central Asia. The Council is held every two years to align joint goals and strategies.
  • Vote for TGEU leadership and direction: every two years, TGEU members vote for our Board, as well as approve our strategic direction. Members are also eligible to run to become Board Members.

Our work with members

Specialised full member programs
  • Trans Leaders Academy Platform – An online learning platform for trans activists to access resource materials on various relevant topics.
  • Trans Feminine Leaders Academy – A leadership programme equipping trans feminine activists with skills to lead movements, advocate effectively, and advance trans rights while countering gender inequalities.
  • Fundraising Empowerment Programme – A training programme helping trans groups and activists improve their fundraising skills and organisational sustainability.
  • PeerNetz – A virtual community space for TGEU members to connect, share experiences, and build a sense of belonging.
  • Trans Refugee Network – A platform enhancing the capacity of trans refugee activists and civil societies to advocate for asylum reform through peer support, mutual learning, and EU-level engagement.

In addition to our regularly scheduled work with members, we also work with members at the national level to advocate for country-level policy. We have successfully contributed to passing several legal gender recognition laws based on self-determination, and continue to work with local organisations to pass more
