Joint Statement: Building an Inclusive European Union of Equality

We, the undersigned equality and anti-discrimination organisations, call on the European Union’s leaders and European Institutions to ensure equality, anti-racism, and fundamental rights are a priority during the next legislative mandate. 

Join us for the ninth TGEU European and Central Asian Trans Council from 21-24 November 2024, at Salini Resort Hotel in Malta. Every two years, we bring together 200 trans activists from across Europe and Central Asia to set the agenda for trans politics and celebrate trans communities. 

One of the two post-Soviet countries where "sodomy" is criminalised, Turkmenistan is the most closed-off authoritarian and repressive country in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

TGEU is looking for a Consultant to support the development and drafting of our Strategic Plan from March to November 2024. This position is remote, however it will include some travel.

TGEU welcomes the European Parliament’s resolution on Central Asia published on January 17, 2024. The resolution mentions the need to revise the EU Central Asia Strategy adopted in 2019.
