The Order suspended all U.S. foreign assistance programmes, including the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) for 90 days to conduct a comprehensive review. The freeze, carried out by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, halted billions of dollars in funding for global health programmes, leaving millions without access to life-saving treatment and services.

We call on the UK government to reconsider this harmful decision and to engage meaningfully with both the medical and scientific community and civil society groups representing the interests of trans youth and trans adults.
