TGEU and FRIDA to host fundraising webinar series on grant writing and resource mobilisation
From talking to our members, it’s clear that proposal writing and fundraising are some of the biggest obstacles to accessing funding for our trans communities. This is why we are excited to hold a series of fundraising webinars alongside our partner FRIDA Young Feminist Fund.
Facilitated by Paige Andrew, FRIDA´s Chief of Programs – Grantmaking & Operations, the first session in April will focus on grant writing. The second session in May will explore resource mobilisation and will be facilitated by Maureen Andinda, co-manager of Resource Mobilisation. These highly interactive sessions will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and tools to write proposals, map and engage with donors and diversify your funding base.
What to expect from the training sessions
- Understanding the funding landscape: Gain valuable insights into the global funding ecosystem for social justice movements, followed by an overview of the context of trans funding.
- Knowledge on how FRIDA supports movements: Learn about FRIDA, its focus areas and work resourcing movements.
- Practical Exercises: Become familiar with FRIDA´s application template and gain hands-on experience using it.
- Innovative resource mobilising strategies: Explore the various tools and strategies you can use to increase and diversify your resources.
