Trans people’s difficulty in accessing employment and occupation, as well as problems with keeping a job, is acute across Europe. Only 51% of trans people are in paid employment in comparison with 68% in the general population, found the Fundamental Rights Agency.

In total, since January 2008 the murders of 1,612 trans people have been reported. 226 of these reports are from the past 12 months.

Sadly, this year there are 238 trans persons to be added to the list to be remembered, mourned, and honoured. In total, since January 2008 the murders of 1,374 trans people have been reported.
